The Missions Team is Headed Home!

On Sunday our team ministered in two churches and many people were in the services who had given their hearts to the Lord during the open air crusades on Friday and Saturday. The team ministered at the brand new church in Choo as they held their first service. Amazing! The people really loved having our team around. In the afternoon, our whole team helped do a kids club at the Kara church. It was fun and then the rain finally came. They didn't have any rain problems the entire time there, so the timing was perfect.

The team enjoyed their stay in Kara and spend Monday relaxing, packing and shopping. We have truly left a deposit with our church there in Kara that will produce lasting fruit. Thank God.

The missions team has begun their journey home. Our team left Kara on Tuesday morning at 5am to travel back to Ghana. They have arrived safely in Ghana and are now resting for their flight back home. Wednesday the team will do some souvenir shopping and then take their flight out of Ghana arriving home on Thursday.

I will update you later on this evening on the flight information.

Please pray for safe travels and continued good health for all team members.

Blessings-
Pr. Elana

The youth ministry in Harvest Church Togo has just been born

Our team is doing well. They spent the last few days ministering to the village kids out in “Choo” (pronounced: “cho”)... They got to see the church building we built there earlier this year... They also saw the other locations of the Bible Clubs Pr. Barry teaches during the week.

Friday night was awesome! The team did many dramas. Pastor Jonathan says that the people there are absolutely enthralled with the skits. At the altar call they had another 3-4 dozen people come forward, including about 10 young teenage men. Pastor Jonathan was excited to say that “the youth ministry here has just been born!”

The people were so moved by the dramas (and the Spirit of God, of course) that they wept at the altar call. And our team was moved by thier responce. The team then prayed for many healings, and had a few deliverances and several people did say that their pain was gone. The lady who had been saved on the streets by our team just the day before, came up for healing of epilepsy and “body pains”... One of her hands was actually all shriveled up (and her fingers were embedded into her hand). The team prayed for her, and though they didn’t see her hand completely healed, she said the body pain was gone, and she was believing that the epilepsy was gone too. Praise the Lord!

Thank you for your continued prayers for the Lord to move with miracles, salvations, deliverances, and healing.

God bless you

People are getting saved!

Just a quick update from last night's service. The team walked the city beforehand inviting people to the crusade. One lady gave her heart to Jesus right there on the street. Praise the Lord! The team ministered in Drama for over an hour and then the gospel was preached... 50 PEOPLE GOT SAVED LAST NIGHT!

Please pray for the right follow-up strategy for Pr. Bari and the church there. We are believing for the church in Togo to double as they see many more salvations this week. We must also pray for the seed that was planted in these new believers to have fallen on good soil and for discipleship to cause them to grow into "trees of righteousness".

They are ministering in another open air crusade tonight.
Thank you for praying.

The team is enjoying Togo!

The missions team spent thier first day of ministry in Togo and the word is that this trip has already exceeded thier expectations.

This morning they went to Harvest Church Togo, and met with some of the church people and lots of kids. They sang songs and played with them... In the afternoon they took invites and walked the neighborhood, inviting folks to the evening crusades (both tonight and tomorrow night)... tomorrow afternoon they are expecting to minister at a school and Saturday they will be going to the village kids to do more ministry. Pr. Bari, his church team and Pelagie are enjoying time together with our team.

The team is all doing fine. Everyone is "pretty healthy"... A few them have a scratchy throat as a result of thier long trip from Ghana. Everyone is happy and enjoying the trip and ministry.

God is moving in powerful ways with healing, salvations and the prophetic. We will have many testimonies to hear when the team returns. Continue, if you will, to pray for good health, protection and the power of God to move with many salvations and miracles following.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call me.

Love In Christ-
Pr. Elana

Togo ministry begins...

Prayers were effective as the team crossed the Togo/Ghana border smoothly on Wed. The team is scheduled to do evangelism in Kara today and minister in a large service tonight at an open air arena.

Thank you for your continued prayers as the team begins ministry in Togo.

God Bless-

The Team Travels to Togo!

Phase Two of the missions trip has begun. It is Tuesday evening and I just recieved word from Pr. Jonathan. The team has just left Accra, Ghana for Togo! Pr. Bari from Harvest Church Togo met them with a bus and will be accompanying them accross the border into Togo. It will be a very long travel day for them, about 15hours approx. They are 7 hours ahead of us... Please pray for traveling mercies and that they have no troubles at the border crossing. They are making a very short stop in Lome and then traveling on to thier final destination in Kara, Togo West Africa, where they will minister until July 16th.

The team is all healthy and in good spirits. Monday and Tuesday they followed the schedule and ministered in various schools where they saw many salvations and were blessed by all the "adorable kids" that they got to minister to. Both evenings they ministered at church services. Our team has stayed very busy but is enjoying rest periods through out the day so that they are not worn down.

Praise God for all that he is doing in Africa!
Thank you for the continued prayers.

Ghana Trip- Sunday Update

How exciting it is to be a part of what God is doing on the other side of the world!

Today, Sunday, July 6th the High School/College XG Missions Trip ministered at the Miracle Life Gospel Church, in Ghana. On Saturday the team spent time doing street evangelism and inviting people to today's chuch service. Many new visitors were in church today as a result of thier effort. Praise God! The group was very busy doing skits, songs and Pastor Jonathan ministered prophetically. God moved in a powerful way and there were many salvations and healing miracles.

All team members are healthy and enjoying the trip. This afternoon they spent time with the youth group from the church and had an enjoyable day. The team is savoring meals of fish, chicken and rice. The weather is a pleasant 70-80 and humid. All the luggage has arrived with the exception of the sound system which is at the airport today. God is answering our prayers so let's continue to pray that the team is able to pick up the sound system tomorrow(monday).

Please spread the word of this post to all who may have missed the memo that they can recieve the team updates here. The internet is not working where they are at so the team is unable to communicate by email, but I am sure that they are anxious to send you a good report as soon as they can. The following is the planned schedule for the next few days:

Monday 07/07/08
Morning Service and Prayer
Tract distribution and evangelism in a nearby area
Hospital Visitation (Nyaho Medical Centre & Achimota Hospital)
Evening Service

Tuesday 08/07/08 -

Thank you for standing in the gap with your prayers. Please Continue to pray for safe travel, physical health with protection from all disease, and the Power of God to move through our team.
God Bless You.

XG Missions Team Arrives Safely In Ghana!

I hope you enjoyed a fantastic 4th of July! I am writing to you just moments after I recieved my first message from Pastor Jonathan.

The missions team has arrived in Ghana. Praise the Lord...everyone is doing fine... all are healthy and spent thier first night at the hotel. Today (July 5th)starts Their busy weekend...They will be doing street evangelism and many services.

The weather is rainy and not too hot. The sound system and three action packers never made it to Ghana so Pastor Jonathan is working with the airlines and lets pray with him for the sound equipment to arrive by tonight.

We are believing for thousands of salvations in Africa and praying for the Spirit of God to be released in power with signs and wonders, miracles and prophecy. We are beliving for lasting fruit and growth for the churches that we minister with. Please also continue to pray for health and protection for every member of our team.

We have such a huge part to play in this mission... our prayers avail much!

So that leads me to the end of this post.
God Bless, and feel free to call me if you have any questions!
